It's free to scan and upload all pages, that is what I did for my application. It will also serve as proof of residence as your passport got stamped when you travelled.

Just to update, got daughter’s BRP (with expiry Dec 2024) yesterday and waiting on decision for citizenship application. Will update this thread when I get results on that. Can’t thank enough for the help this forum provided and special thanks to @contorted_svy for your kind advise. God bless us all.

Glad you got your daughter's BRP sorted - now she can travel without worries until you receive the outcome of the application.

@contored_svy: I received approval emails for both my daughter and wife today asking to book for ceremony. Thanks for all the help. But I didn't expect the result this soon to be honest which puts me in difficult situation I guess. The email states I need to book for ceremony within 3 months from today and the BRP will be valid once I get the certificate. I am planning to travel from last week of July to first week of September (and 6th August deadline comes in the middle). So I am not sure what are options are? Either finish ceramony, british passport, surrender indian pasport and OCI or request for extending booking ceremony after i return which is first week of september? If so will home office agree for that. Thanks very much.

Book the ceremony as soon as possible and get a British passport. You have plenty of time to sort that until July.

Thank you. Will I be able to travel to india and come back with both Indian and British passport please (and do surrender and oci on return)? I was not sure if I am allowed to travel with Indian passport once I get British passport. How long will it take to get British passport please after ceremony and certificate? Thanks again.

You are not.

Current waiting times for passports are three weeks.

Thank you. I was looking through other threads like this one (viewtopic.php?t=341171&sid=531e2ab1bda2 ... a#p2136765) and thinking of doing below. Could you please let me know if this will work with my current travel plan?
• Attend ceremony asap (citizenship certificate on same day, BRP is invalid from this point and had to be sent back looks like)
• Apply for British passport (with citizenship certificate and Indian passport)
• Once received, surrender indian passport and get surrender certificate
• Apply for e-visa with surrender certificate
• Travel to India on their e-visa
• Once back to uk, apply for Renunciation certificate
• Apply for OCI with renounciation receipt

I was thinking of booking ceremony by end of June, so that I will have 3 months until end of Sep to use my indian passport but looks like my BRP won't be valid to get back to UK by first week of Sept. Is that right please?
