I called home office on 23 august and the guy told me it is a matter of days , he told me that I will receive a letter within 10 working days , it is on final stage.

on 5th sep i called local authority for ceremony and they say they do not have private ceremony so i had to attend on with group ceremony on 6th october 2011.

11th august 2011: they told me its in the queue to be allocated to a case worker.

26th august 2011: decision has been made on 25th august 2011 (absolutely no idea what was the decision ... ). It will take 2 weeks to get the letter.

It took exactly 3 months for them to make an decision. Do not know when I will get it ...

APplication criteria: 4 year spouse of BC (husband became citizen in April 11)

Started ringing HO only since end of July
Was told in the queue until friday 19th of August. Rang on tuesday 23rd of August and was told decision made yesterday (Monday 22nd of August) and I will be getting all my docs in few days.
Received all my documents in the special delivery envelope I sent with my application.
Decision: APPROVED

No convictions nor any special circumstances
I think the call centre system is not very up to date. Until friday they said its not allocated and then on tuesday I was told decision made on Monday.

1st August 2011: Wife received a call from HO asking for a clarification.
5th August 2011: Called HO line, same answer "Awating Case Worker Allocation", mentioned that fact that we received a call from HO for clarification, and did that not mean a case worker had been allocated, was told I'm reading too much into it and that preliminary checks were going on and the phone call was part of that.
12 Aug: Called again, still awaiting Case Worker Allocation, applications take 3-6 months!!

7th Sep: Called, was told a decision has recently been made, but no letter has been posted yet. She of course wouldn't/couldn't tell me what the decision was. Awaiting anxiously for the letter
9th Sept: Call again, update: Letter printed, would probably get posted later in the day.
15 Sep: 3 letters came through... !!!!! The Journey is almost over... callled the council straight away and managed to get a slot for a priavte oath ceremony on 20th Sept.
