On 16th of August, 4 months after application received a email from caseworker asking to send them my child's passport. I did so the same day and there were no updates until 9th of September. Replied to email from caseworker asking to return the passport due to upcoming travel plans and received email 50 minutes later that passport will be returned today and the application has been successful.

(N.B. Approval letter sent second class directly by Home Office at Liverpool, so it probably was sitting on my mail box from 6th to 9th of Sept waiting for my pick up - check your mailbox reg;ar;y after 4 weeks if you re EEA based)
