Called HO today to know the status, but the lady said we have ur application with us but "not allocated to case worker yet"'. Seems like HO is very busy with loads of applications due the change in rules from 28th october
Which option did you chose? I got through only to Home Office through this number and they asked me to ring 08450105200

Thanks
Option 2
I rang them this morning using the phone number cpcg gave and option 2, the lady I spoke was very polite. She told me that my application is still in process and it can take up to 6 months.

Hi Alimanu, simple thing is to call ur council with ur HO ref # and tell that u recievd approval letter. if the council has recieved already u should be on their system which tells u about the status. HO are very cheeky and the telephonic associates are not pleasant in this regard since they are trained that way. i think some law needs to control and regulate the HO itself with thier service transparency. I am sorry to say this but this is an accumulative of bitter experiences.

Eligibility criteria: 5 years (Though I've been living here for 15+years)
Method of application: Self
Date of application: 23/10/13 (1st Class Recorded Delivery)
Date of receipt by UKBA: Should be 24/10/13 but will track to confirm
Date of acknowledgement:
Date of debit of fees:
Date of approval:

So now I begin my journey to receive my application back but since we are in October I won't start getting worried until the 23 of December, so roughly am giving it 2 months.

What's taking them so long to process your application, have you called them to enquirer about your application?

That is long, most people only wait for less than 2 months or just about 2 months. I know they are having delay problems due to rule change but you should have received your application by now. IO would advise you to call them so you can have a piece of mind

Sorry by mistake I wrote application submission date 18/10/13 instead of 18/09/13 and date received is 19/09/2013

Can anyone advise what can I do as it's been over a month and I haven't received any acknowledged nor fee has been deducted

Give them a call and explain that you slightly concerned that no fees have been collected yet and can they reassure you that they have received your application....
They could just be busy due to rule change.
I waited nearly three weeks whilst other applicants fees had been deducted, their approvals is coming through now and I am waiting because of the process... frustration..... so a call might not harm as they processed my payment the same day I called them, think it did help in my case...

Good luck on the wait....

08706067766 Option 2, be polite, otherwise they less likely to be helpful... This is the Croydon office, but they can check their system and call through to Liverpool if needed....
