Something really strange is happening. I received email reply from Nationality Help desk saying decision has been made on my application, when I called the Home office number and asked for update the adviser said no decision has been made and the application is still in progress. Don't know whom to believe?
Hi Kibria,
the Nationality Help desk, the actual ones dealing with ur case and then upload the decision on the system for advisers to see. so hopefully from the posts I have been reading you get a letter 2 days after an email.
so good luck and wish all the best !!
Hi
TO be honest I don't know what is actually happening. I sent a follow up email re confirming the decision and I got a reply that there was mistake sending me the email and no decision has been made,

I sent another email yesterday and got a reply that decision has been made. I called PEO again and they said no decision has been made. I then followed it up with another email today asking for reconfirmation and have received response no decision has been made. So contradicting messages all over. What's even more confusing is that towards the end of the email they have written that on 31st October a decision letter regarding my indefinite leave to remain application was posted. I am just wondering how on earth I got this message as this is naturalisation application I am asking about and they are coming back to be on ILR that I never applied for :) I got my ILR in December 2011?

Clueless

Please try to see the humour in all this, I have just read your post and its been funny with the back and front you have been undergoing but I promise and pray that you will be one to laugh last  please wish good news sooner than you expect.[/quote]

Received call from home office today mentioning there was confusion sending me email and that they have called the Sheffield office for update. Application still in progress

As far as we are aware from this forum nobody with your dates has a decision yet. The most recent ones starting to get approved are those received by the HO on Oct 14th. The HO seems to have decided the vast majority of cases up to around Sept 26th. From then on they are partially done (35-40%) up to Oct 14th. That may tell you something, although allow for timelines to stretch a bit further in the next few weeks as the HO catches up the backlog from all of the Oct applications.

Hi Mudassir, Call your bank and see if there was any attempt of payment of £874
Just checked with the bank and no attempt has been made.

It is actually a joint application so it should have been £1550.

I have emailed twice and rang them twice and they gave me standard answers.

The alst email reply said said wait another 3 weeks and then contact back.

I also asked to give me any reference numbers associated with my application and they said all they can confirm is that we have received your application on 10/10/2013.

My NCS in Nottingham said I could make use of them to check if there was a delay with debit of funds, but only after 3 months. I doubt there is a formal policy about that. It's probably just to keep people from hassling them about it every other day. Perhaps a bit of sweet talking though ... or perhaps your NCS may be more lenient.

I have spoken to NCS when I didn't have any response for 3 weeks. I asked them for references and all they gave me was Royal Mail Special Delivery Tracking number by which they send my application.

The tracking info does state that it was delivered to HO (Liverpool) on 10/10/2013 before 11:14 AM.

** Due to the change in requirements for naturalisation as of 28th October 2013 (meaning applicants for naturalisation after 28th October need to complete the life in the UK test AND the english test), there has been an increase in the number of applications received by UKBA in the week commencing 21st October (this is what an immigration solicitor mentioned to me during conversation) so I'm going to be extra patient. :)

*** After hearing incidents of UKBA sending forms back due to banks declining the fee transaction, I called my bank - Santander - the same day I posted the application. What I was told was that any unusual transactions of large value will be flagged up by the fraud team so the transaction will be declined by the bank (followed up by a telephone call from the bank to you, at which stage the UKBA would have started to send the forms back to you). Further to this, I was also told that the UKBA often makes mistakes when processing the transactions by either not spelling the name correctly or completing the details accurately, which will result in the transaction getting declined. However, you can call the bank and check if an attempt has been made. Even if the UKBA misspells your name in the transaction request, your bank CAN tell you if the attempt has been made.

The best option for this, if you have any worry, is to call your bank's customer services manager and explain the situation. Ask them to put a note on your account that you are expecting the sum of (£your application fee) to be taken by the UKBA and that you cannot afford to have this payment declined. This will obviously help the fraud team understand the background of the transaction so with a little luck and common sense the bank will not decline.

WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST.

Have you had an acknowledgement letter? Or has the HO taken your money? Based on what we are seeing in the forums, approvals for your date are only around 50% or less complete so far, so no need to panic yet.
Yes. The Fee has taken my account on 17th October 2012 and I received my Acknowledgement letter on 24th October 2013.

hello all,

Hope somebody can answer my question as I am so confused now!

I have sent an email to UKBA regarding progressing of my application but after couple of hours I have decided to call Croydon office.

During telephone conversation I have been informed that decision has been made and I should receive a letter shortly.

Then I have received an email stating that decision has not been made!

Is anybody had similar situation and what was the outcome?
I have applied end of September, UKBA received on 01.10.2013, fees debited on 11.10.2013 and still waiting when a lot of people who applied far after me already got their approvals?

Confused!!!

thank you for your help.
