Eligibility Criteria: 2 Years Spouse Visa+Time Spent on Student Visa
Application Type: SD Postal
Application Sent: 26/09/2013
Application Received by HO: 27/09/2013
Date of Fee Debited: 08/10/2013
Acknowledgement Letter: 11/10/2013
Approval Letter: None
Ceremony: None

I've applied for Naturalisation straight after receiving my ILR, as I'm married to BC!

I was told that I do not need wait for 1 year after receiving my ILR because I'm married to BC; hence I need to prove that I've completed three years of continuous residence in the UK including time spent on student visa before married to BC!!!

Does these kind of application, where an applicant is claiming time spent on other visa's take longer???? I didn't ask to apply desecration on my the naturalisation form, should I've asked for it????

Hi, my timeline is similar to yours and I am still waiting. Called HO on 29/11/2013. They said my application is on the system and with them. Decision has not yet been made. There is definitely no logic to their order, but no point panicking. I would be thrilled if it is done before the end of this year.

Hi Rana,
Below is my timeline. My case is similar to yourself, as I applied for AN as soon I received my ILR. I don't think we have to ask for discretion as we fulfill naturalisation requirements. Like you, I have a feeling they are delaying such applications. Anyway there is no point trying to second guess the HO, it might only drive us more nuts. But hope we hear from HO sooner than later. Give them a call or fire an email, it could do no harm.
Cheers

Re: Applied 28th September 2013

Post by shahjee09 » Mon Dec 02, 2013 1:20 pm

Guys it has been 9.3 weeks since I applied 28th September 2013 and the fees was deducted on the 10th of October 2013. I have not yet heard anything, this is really slow service ? Is there anyone else in my position - briefly going through this website it seems the other people have recieved their approval letters and they had applied 2-3 weeks after I did ?

shahjee09 wrote:I am very upset and sad about the fact that if the Home Office recieved my application on the 30th of September they should really have replied to me by now - my application fee was deducted on the 11th of October so it has been a while since - with this impending/looming holiday break coming I fear it will then only be in the new year. Realistically there are just 3 weeks left in this year for any work to be done.

I am a bit concerned that it has now been 8 weeks and the money was deducted on the 10th of October and I have not heard anything yet. Is this unusual ? I had emailed the Nationality email address and they told me that no decision has yet been made.
For the period Sept 26th-30th I've found 13 applications in this forum that were received by the UKBA in those dates. Of those only six have been decided so far - that we know of.

Yes, there are people who have applied in November but they are still waiting for fees to be deducted. As we have discussed in the previous posts, it seems the HO has stopped processing applications since 23 October, so I agree it might be a long wait and November applicants will probably have to wait until next year.

Hi Jotter
u are really a star !!! you make our life so easy !!!
I think it would be nice also to have maybe similar timeline for UKBA taking the fees. its just a suggestion, I dont want to give you more work

Thanks again Jotter for the good work
jotter wrote:Hi all,

This little table might be of interest. (Apologies for the crappy formatting)

PERIOD = Blocks of 15 days
APPs = Applications that I have found in this forum thus far.
APPROVED = Percentage of these applications that posters have informed us have been approved (rounded to nearest full percent)

PERIOD APPS (APPROVED)
Aug 27-Sept 10 = 48 (90%)
Sept 11-25 = 45 (96%)
Sept 26-Oct 10 = 93 (57%)
Oct 11-25 = 113 (21%)
Oct 26-Nov 9 = 16 (0%)
Nov 10-24 = 12 (0%)

I admit this is biased towards capturing the cutoff point for the English language requirement, but all the same, it gives an idea of the scale. I can keep this placeholder updated as these values change.

Thanks belkhir!
Actually I have. It's at the second link I posted above.
"Updated table of fees deductions collected from posters to this forum for the month of October here." At this stage it's only for October, which is the month that is understandably causing most of the interest/wringing of hair at the moment. I'll eventually do a fees deducted table for November as well, once the UKBA actually starts looking at November apps.
