Not Sure how May Applications are progressing - still taking 6 months or processing times are reduced. Let's hope for the best
Biometrics letter came on Saturday dated 28th of may 2015 and on Monday Ist June 2015 acknowledgement letter came , So far My wife has done her biometrics on 2nd of june 2015, so far its almost a month since she applied for her citizenship, Let see how long it take , My expectation is end of july 2015 the result will come.Thanksusman81 wrote:Biometrics have been made mandatory for applications made on or after april 6, 2015. Generally speaking money is deducted around same date acknowledgement letter and bio... invitation letter are pushed out. Nothing to worry as such, however, you may want to call your bank and ask if any payments had been rejected!fjimmy007 wrote:Hi , I have to share my wife application updates ,
She applied for british citizenship on 5th may 2015 through Lewisham NCS on spouse visa 3 years basis, she received her biometrics invitation on 28th of may 2015 , I dont know she had her Biometrics done when she applied her spouse visa in 2012 and also when she applied for her Indefinate ILR IN 2014 , now they are asking again and its cost us £19.20 again through post office , such a waste of money) Interesting thing is that my wife checked her bank account and money has not been deducted yet, but biometric documents arrived , is it unusual, Any one knows how long it takes after her biometric done , citizenship granted.
Thanks in advance
This section is for naturalization timeline post your question in PBS dependent section. If your wife switches to FLR(M) her five year clock will be reset. Last i checked she should still be able to extend as PBS dependent applicant.na2316 wrote:Hi All,
I already asked this few times....already but no one replied and am still waiting for reply,
PLEASE ADVISE....help
I was on ILR last year (got ILR after 5years on tier 1) but i got the British citizenship and British Passport now after 1 year on ILR.
My wife is still on TIER 1 DEPENDENDENT visa which will expire in 2017...when she will need ONE more ext on tier 1 dependent visa...to complete 5years to qualify for ILR..correct?
what are the best OPTIONS...as i am british citizen now
... should she wait till 2017 when her tier 1 dependent visa expire ...AND apply for another tier 1 dependent visa extension....???
... Or is there any other option (as I have become British citizen now )??
PLEASE ADVISE.
thanks
The best option is you can apply her ILR now as British citizen spouse. When she get ILR than you can apply her Nationality next day. Technically your wife must be converted as British spouse and she can not be any more as tier1 dependant because your status been changed. Best option to apply her ILR, if she already had ILR than she is eligible to apply for Nationality as spouse of British citizen.na2316 wrote:Hi All,

called HO and status is application is active. It has now been more than 10 months I have not yet received any answer from them expect still under consideration. I have sent few reminders as well and they said they have sent my application t an other department which will take further 3 to 6 months. I am surprise as my application was single and I have British wife and kids so why they are taking more then a year on my application. I have no traffic offence and no criminal record at all.
Any advice plse ? or any body going through similar situation? plse post asap Many Thanks
