I already asked this few times....already but no one replied and am still waiting for reply,

PLEASE ADVISE....help

I was on ILR last year (got ILR after 5years on tier 1) but i got the British citizenship and British Passport now after 1 year on ILR.

My wife is still on TIER 1 DEPENDENDENT visa which will expire in 2017...when she will need ONE more ext on tier 1 dependent visa...to complete 5years to qualify for ILR..correct?

what are the best OPTIONS...as i am british citizen now

... should she wait till 2017 when her tier 1 dependent visa expire ...AND apply for another tier 1 dependent visa extension....???

... Or is there any other option (as I have become British citizen now )??

PLEASE ADVISE.

thanks
The best option is you can apply her ILR now as British citizen spouse. When she get ILR than you can apply her Nationality next day. Technically your wife must be converted as British spouse and she can not be any more as tier1 dependant because your status been changed. Best option to apply her ILR, if she already had ILR than she is eligible to apply for Nationality as spouse of British citizen.

Hi folks,

I was interested to see where timelines are on average, so I copied all the applications listed here since early March (and a few back to January, but not all), and put all the stages in columns, adding a total for the days each stage too. A few things I've learned:

- Biometrics seems to have been introduced around the beginning of April
- Before April, payment used to be taken within a week, mostly. Since April, payment is taken between 21 and 28 days after receipt by UKBA, with an average of 24 days.
- Acknowledgement arrives 1-8 days later, 3.3 on average.
- Invitation for Biometrics varies a bit more - between 0 and 14 days after, 1.8 on average.
- Unless I missed one, no one who applied since the beginning of April - i.e. since the process changed - has gotten further than submitting biometrics.
- The total time before April was in the 6-8 week range, with the time between receiving Acknowledgement and Approval around 3-4 weeks, so assuming that's not going any slower, I'm guessing we'll start seeing updates from people who applied in early April soon :)

Do take this with the proverbial grain of salt - it's just an observation from a very small (self selected) sample. I just hate the uncertainty so I find ways like this to feel like I have some handle on how things are going...

Hi, Stoofie.
It was very useful. I am applying next year but now just analyzing the situation how to make the process quicker.
Good luck to all applicants.

Checked last years timline for March/April...got approvals in August...looks like currently there is a deadlock and same trend is repeated...Something happens after April every year...

Clearly looks like the hold at the moment is to clear Jan/Feb backlog....they are holding applications from Mid March to April at the moment to clear Jan/Feb...

Hello guys,

I was sitting behind the screen watching other member’s time lines, which I found to be very helpful while I was waiting for my application to be processed. To contribute I have registered myself today to share my journey with applicants who are still waiting, and with those who just started their journey. As you will see bellow I have waited 5 months and my application was to me straight forward. Good luck to those who are still waiting.

Hi Jingzh,
It seems that the average waiting time at the moment between HO receiving application and fees being deducted is 20 - 25 days. Longest on this forum - 38 days (that's for applications made after 6 April).
