It doesn't matter which category, just put it in "other" - caseworkers will look at all documents - also the categories don't really add anything. Also note UKVCAS are NOT Home Office caseworkers.

Hi All,

Are there any restrictions on travelling abroad after submitting naturalisation application and doing biometrics.

I will be going abroad in April for a week and then again in May/June time for a total of 2.5 weeks.

The guide mentions that travel is allowed after submission but wanted to just double check. Also any ideas what is classed as long absence from the UK post application submission - 3 months or 6 months or something shorter.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

travel is allowed after biometrics. I would avoid trips longer than 3 weeks but no official guidance.

Please dont give incorrect advice. There is no restriction on travelling. Not sure why you think best to avoid trips of more than 3 weeks

Hi All,

In the online form Referee 1 is BC and either professional or over age of 25. Referee 2 can be of any nationality and professional person.

When uploading the declaration forms on UKVCAS should I maintain the same order as the online application or does this not matter.

Appreciate any advise.

Kind Regards

Hi All,

Referee 1 on the online form is BC and either professional or over the age of 25.
Referee 2 on the online form is of any nationality and of professional standing.

However the description on the declaration forms are opposite to those above I.e. Referee 1 and 2 descriptions have been exchanged.

In my case I have only 1 professional referee whose details I have entered as Referee 2 in the online application.

I am just wondering if HO would go by the order in the declaration form or by that in the online form.

Just worried if this could cause an issue with my
application.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The order in which referees are shown on the application is totally irrelevant - no impact.
What matters is you have the referees as per requirements. No issue there.

It won't cause an issue. Case Officers will I'm sure be used to seeing referencing to referee 1 and 2 getting switched between form and document submissions... ultimately the key identifier for each will be their name and the case officer will be checking they meet the criteria as you set out.

Hi,
I am currently filling out my application for naturalisation. I first came to the UK in 2011 on a student visa. and went home in 2017. In 2018, I applied for a spouse visa and re-entered the UK as a spouse. . My question is, what shall I put as my first arrival in the UK, in 2011 or 2018?I know this is a silly question, but I'm confused.

2018 as it's that route leading to the application. You could add a cover letter with clarification of previous immigration history if you wanted to mention it in support of your time associated with the UK in lawful and productive manner.
