Naturalization Application document: Tax return

Post by Bankie » Thu Jul 16, 2020 10:52 am

Hello,

I'm about applying for my UK citizenship and one of the documents I am to produce is my tax return.

The problem is that I'm recently self employed, and not due to file for tax till next year.

I have been working as a permanent staff for the past 10 years, and recently went self employed in September and my tax return will not be filed till next year.

I have my slips from my recruitment agency.
Are these enough? With a cover letter explaining why I can't provide the tax return?

If you are an EU citizen: annual P60s and your note re. self-employment.
If you are a non-EU citizen: your passport(s) covering the residency period is sufficient.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
