Requests can be done directly, without solicitors.

You can chase and follow up, but it won't speed up your application to an immediate effect. I have provided a list of steps to follow, but the outcome won't be instantaneous.

I don't know, but after reading the thread, it might be a good idea to let them get on with it. It sounds like they are actively working on your application and will provide you with a decision as soon as they are able.

Just for your own piece of mind, maybe its not worth worrying about what you cant control

Subject: Request for Guidance on Expedited Ceremony Invitation Process

Dear All,

Thank you for your ongoing advice and support, please. It has been a privilege to talk with each of you in this forum and to share in this journey together, please. I have received the outcome prior to submitting my new medical certificate, please.

Given the urgency of the situation, I find it necessary to expedite the process of receiving my ceremony invitation, please. I cannot afford a delay of three weeks, please. Therefore, I seek your guidance on how best to accelerate this process (by email, phone, etc.) with whatever you professionally recommend, please.

Below is the communication received from the HO via my solicitor for your reference, please.

Subject: Outcome of application xxx

Client: {My name here} - xxx

I am pleased to say that your client’s application has been successful. They will shortly receive a letter inviting them to attend a citizenship ceremony.  When they attend the ceremony they will be presented with a certificate of British citizenship

You should not contact the Local Authority until your client has received their invitation. If you have not received your invitation within the next 3 weeks, you should email us at Citizenship.Support-at- homeoffice.gov.uk.

I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your recommendations, please.

Best wishes

The only potential acceleration is to book a private ceremony with your council, for an additional fee. note that councils arrange and manage the ceremonies and timelines/availability may vary. The council will contact you when they have received your certificate and arranging ceremonies. Best to contact the council now, in case they already have your certificate already. Note there's no publicised acceleration process for ceremonies, except for the option of a private ceremony.

PS. Also factor in time applying/waiting for your passport from HMPO (not UKVI), for which no acceleration is available for first passports.

I am going to emphasise this point, because a UK naturalisation certificate will almost certainly not be recognised outside the UK. You will need to apply for and receive a British passport and use that in France.

It would be best not to travel to France and apply for a first passport from abroad, because that will cause HMPO to refer the whole naturalisation application back to the Home Office to review on whether you meet or fail the future intentions requirement. That will make the whole process of getting the first British passport much slower. So, much better for you to apply for the first British passport within the UK, receive it and then travel with it.

And finally, even after getting a British passport, there is more paperwork for you to do to trigger the S2 healthcare agreement. Go through this overview on the Gov.UK website. Note that this is a very rare procedure and it is highly likely that these forums may not be able to help you with any questions on the S1/S2 forms, etc.
I am not a lawyer or immigration advisor. My statements/comments do not constitute legal advice. E&OE. Please do not PM me for advice.

Congratulations on your acceptance. You will need to contact your council to schedule a ceremony, the availability will depend on them, you can ask for a ceremony as quickly as possible but it will be up to them what they can offer, after than you will need to apply for your first UK passport. Even after getting approved, it is not an instantaneous process.
