British citizenship application

Post by Sandy8832 » Thu Jul 08, 2021 6:57 pm

Good evening guys
Hope all of you are doing well.
I'm planning to make application for citizenship. But I have few questions related documents i should submit.
I have been in the UK for the last 11 yrs but in the last 6 yrs I was under EU regulation route through my partner.
So I'm confused as to what are all the documents I should submit? I have ILR under EU settlement scheme. Do I need to submit any documents from my partner too ? Also, can anyone share a cover letter template?
I really appreciate your answer and help.
Thanks
Sandeep

You will get a list of documents you will be required to submit, at the end of the online application, but here is a quick run-down:
- Passport & - EUSS reference number
- P60s to prove residency (assuming you are employed)
- English test & - LITUK test
- 2 Referee declarations
I don't believe you need any documents from your partner.
A covering letter is not required and there is no standard template - do you believe you need one?

Many thanks for your comprehensive response.
I am getting mixed messages from others, so I'm confused.
Your reply does make sense to me.
In terms of referees , can both of them my friends ( one Is a teacher and other is executive manager for Clinical commissioning group) are they ok to be my references?
Thanks for your time

Refer to this format with definitions (may have changed by now but requirement is the same): https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... on_MN1.pdf
List of acceptable professions (page 25):

Non EU national ( family member of EU citizen) naturalisation application

Post by Sandy8832 » Thu Aug 05, 2021 5:49 pm

Dear members,
I'm a non EU national ( EU spouse) applying for citizenship. Do i need to provide any documents relevant to my EU spouse I.e. her employment details. Or just my documents should be okay?

Also, we don't live together, would that affect my application?
Looking forward to hearing from you
