Who and how did you get the reference number ?
I didn't get any reference number for the delivery and they also took my original LIUK.
I used Crawley NCS.

I also applied on 29/10/2014.

Thanks

Who and how did you get the reference number ?

I was polite and lady was pleased to see me being formal  but I guess it differs from NCS to NCS.

Yes she took mine too, giving the reason that "In case of approval you will never have to use it again."
I used Crawley NCS.
NCS Worcester, the time was afternoon, I was the last person/appointment for the day.

But not to worry, I have seen it takes them weeks to acknowledge receipt. I got it from Royal Mail but still have not got any email and probably will not get it till Nov 5th.

Good luck! :)

NCS receipt from the council gives you the royal mail special delivery.

Warrington sounds right because when i called royal mail about mine as it did not show status online they said the same thing that it was delivered from Warrington.

Hi guys.. Can I suggest something... Please post your timeline only if the acknowledgment is received or decision is been made.. That way it will help us to see how long it took... Coz atm this forum is full of basic information I.e. Date applied and delivery info... That's why I have not posted mine as I'm waiting for Atleast acknowledgment to be received.. Please note we have five pages (plus counting) full of date applied and Royal Mail delivery status... Thanks for reading and understanding
Kind regards and all the best to those who have applied or going to apply

Malikxxx, Thanks for your suggestions but I disagree - people should be able to post/edit their timeline whenever they want - as always has been the case.

I therefore encourage everyone to post on submission and update/edit when anything significant happens.

All the best to everyone.

Cheers

Sorry mate I am with bobo on this one, like myself everyone actually posts when they apply, then they update the same information with its received, payment taken, acknowledged, approved/disapproved, letter received and ceremony. I appreciate you don't liking the full detail but most here like to keep track of all steps by members in order to make their decisions.

Hope this clears you. Thanks for understanding. ;)

I completely agree with Bobo. I think you should not be stopping the people to post their initial information, updaed, delete, etc. There are many such time lnes where it has tones of iformations with multiple pages and someone from forum mange them on a worksheet to give nice comparable information.

I also agree with everyone that people should feel free to discuss/share things on this forum about their application.
These forums on immigration boards have been there for ages and members feel like we all belong to this little community where everyone is stressed due to long wait but on the forum they can talk to each other and share views/experiences and timelines ofcourse.

13 days on and still no payment taken - hope the rest of the application process hasn't also slowed down like this initial bit seems to!

No, nothing yet. Both seem to be coming a lot more slowly for applicants in October than they did for applicants in August & September, sadly!

I believe that they have received your application? If not I would contact them. End of the day they want your money as quickly as possible. Taking the money is normally the first thing they do.

Royal Mail tracking says it arrived without a problem. If you notice the dates in this thread though, it's taking around two weeks (compared to one before) for the payment to be taken and acknowledgement letter to be sent out. Just hope it doesn't mean that the whole process after that is slower just now too!

Well that is actually my fear too. But I am also seeing payment being taken in between "7 working days" so my application was on October 29, 2014 and Royal Mail tracking told it received Liverpool on 30th October 2014 someone named "NATIONALITY" received it  and till time of this writing no payment taken, I am guessing its by end of this week the payment will be taken.

I am also guessing its roughly three / three and half month's waiting time for decision.

Good luck all! :)

Eligibility criteria: Tier1 General - Partner (5Yrs) + 1 Yr ILR
Language criteria met : Life in UK, NARIC English Assessment, NARIC Statement of Comparability, Degree Certificate, Letter from University (Taught in English) & PBS (30 Points for Degree & 10 Points for English)
Method of application: NCS - Sheffield
Date of application: 16/10/14
Payment method: Debit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 17/10/14 (i think)
Date of acknowledgment: Waiting
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 03/11/2014
Date approval received: Not yet
Date of ceremony: Not yet

It certainly took longer time (17 days) to deduct the fee compared to average time that being observed in last few months.

Dont worry guys! They are just slow. I sent my application on 15th and payment was taken on 30th. 2 days later I saw it on the bank statement too. Just need to wait!

hey buddy, looks like me and you submitted our applications around the same time. I plan to submit my timeline later on this week once I get my ack letter. It'll be interesting to see how things pan out from here lol. Hopefully we won't have long to go. I submitted my application myself by post and my main concern is getting my passport back in time before I travel at the end of February. Do you know whether supporting documents are returned with acknowledgement letter or are they returned once the application is over? I've read so many conflicting accounts on here.
By the way, hello fellow October applicants :)
