Wage slips not needed, there is no income requirement for citizenship.

You must send proof of English requirement. It is a glitch in the system that it is not asked for.

Thanks for your reply. What documents I need to send to HO?

Two pages certifications from NARIC
Letter from University

Do I also have to send original degree from my university?

Usually useful to state the route to PR and when this was attained.

You need UK NARIC UKVI red route, English and comparable assessment certs and degree cert must be sent.

I am not aware of NARIC UKVI Red route yet.

I have already got NARIC certificates and letter from uni to prove that my degree was taught in English. Since home office Document Check list didnt mentioned about NARIC documents, I just wanted to confirm with you guys.

yes I got this

Q3: I am not exempt. How do I go about fulfilling the requirement on the basis of a degree taught or researched in English?

You will need to apply for a document from NARIC.

Question is,
if home office did NOT ask me to provide them evidence of English language, should I still send them certificates to them? if yes, what documents I should include in my application,

Certificates from NARIC?
Letter from university to prove my last degree was taught in English?
My final degree?
My transcripts?

It is a mandatory requirement. Failure to send it could result in a refusal and loss of fee.

You need to send :

1. Original degree cert

2. NARIC English assessment cert

3. NARIC comparable assessment cert

NARIC that you need costs £150, same price as the 10 minute B1 English test.

Thank you very much, is there any other additional documents I need to send, which is NOT mentioned on the HO list?

There is a saying that goes something along the lines of the fence is as secure as its least secured part. You can put a massive lock that costs millions and is virtually unbreakable but have a hole in the fence...

Your lock: You covered your name in the image in black.
Your hole: Check the file names in your image.

Simply wait to hear back from HO. It can take a couple of months, it can also take 6 months or more.

After three months of wait, I finally received letter saying " I am pleased to say that the application has been successful you will shortly receive a letter inviting you to attend a citizenship ceremony. when you attend a ceremony you will be presented with a certificate of British Citizenship."

My questions are,

what is normal time scale to receive a letter? will council give me a set date? I work full time, I have to see what days are suitable for me.

How long it takes to get everything sorted out? (time scale... I need to apply for BP)

what sort of ceremony they offer?

Is it council, that will issue me certificate of naturilisation?

Do I have to take any documents with me?

is it public ceremony? as I dont want anyone to take my pictures etc

How much council charge for this all stuff?

They sent me back my ILR card.

Should I keep this card with me or I have to send this card back after ceremony etc? there is nothing mentioned about keeping my ILR card or should I send it back to Home office.

Usually within a couple of weeks. If the date is set and it doesn't suit you, you can change it or pay for a private ceremony.
How long it takes to get everything sorted out? (time scale... I need to apply for BP)
Depends when your ceremony is and if a set date or not.
what sort of ceremony they offer?
Your fee you paid includes a group ceremony and availability for space depends on your council. If you opt for a private ceremony, you have to pay for it, usually in the region of between £150 and £200.
Is it council, that will issue me certificate of naturilisation?
HO issues the certificate. The council only presents it to you when you have taken the oath and the council writes the date on it.
Do I have to take any documents with me?
Your passport and approval letter.
is it public ceremony? as I dont want anyone to take my pictures etc
You can choose not to have your picture taken, however it is nice to keep as it is taken with the ceremony official and a portrait of the Queen and taken while the certificate is presented to you.
How much council charge for this all stuff?
There is no charge unless you opt for a private ceremony. There might be a charge if you want the photo print.
They sent me back my ILR card.

Should I keep this card with me or I have to send this card back after ceremony etc? there is nothing mentioned about keeping my ILR card or should I send it back to Home office.
You need to send the card back within 5 days after your ceremony. You are only British once you attend the ceremony, until then you are only an ILR holder.

what sort of ceremony they offer? Group Ceremony with other applicanst or privat ceremony (£150 - 200 extra)

Is it council, that will issue me certificate of naturilisation? The certificate is issued by the Home Office and handed to you at the ceremony.

Do I have to take any documents with me? your approval and invitation letter - check whether they specify anything else

is it public ceremony? as I dont want anyone to take my pictures etc Ceremony is only open to applicants and their guests. Generally there is a photographer there to record the handing over of the ceremony. It's not a newspaper photographer - professional who does this for the council and sells you pictures if you wish.

How much council charge for this all stuff? You have already paid £80 for the group ceremony. If you want a private ceremony then pay extra as quoted above.
BRP card is to be returned after the ceremony

wow... very helpful answers.

Do you know what address I have to send my ILR card?

Will I lose my current nationality after Affirmation/Oath?

If I am going to a dual national, how I will be able to use my current passport without ILR card?

Or I just have to apply and use British Passport all the times and my current passport will be merely a symbol of dual nationality?

You will get details of where to send it at your ceremony.
Will I lose my current nationality after Affirmation/Oath?
Can't say. What is your current nationality??
If I am going to a dual national, how I will be able to use my current passport without ILR card?
You would use a British passport to enter the UK.
Or I just have to apply and use British Passport all the times and my current passport will be merely a symbol of dual nationality?
Again, it depends what your current nationality is but yes, you apply for a British passport.

Thank you very much for you very kind replies. I have not told to my family yet as I am waiting for oath ceremony to be done. Now my Questions are,

1) If I want to do affirmation (on Queen) instead of verbal oath (on GOD), can I chose this option without booking private ceremony?

2) I understand that even British Nationality is still not very permanent that's why I wanted to know the status of my current nationality. Which is Pakistani. Since my ILR card will be taken away, which will probably turn my current passport merely a symbol of identity (ID Document in Pak only), as I may have to apply and use British Passport as my travel documents.

3) Since I have got high level of CTC vetting done (due to nature of my job), do I have to inform them about change of my nationality?

4) what about other financial institutes and council people ete ( I dont think if I have to inform them, do i), as its not change of name.

1) If I want to do affirmation (on Queen) instead of verbal oath (on GOD), can I chose this option without booking private ceremony? You can choose either for the group ceremony, no need for a private ceremony, unless you are in a hurry.

Not sure what the question is - once you got your certificate you are British.

3) Since I have got high level of CTC vetting done (due to nature of my job), do I have to inform them about change of my nationality?
Not sure what CTC is but certainly tell your employer, to ensure their records are up to date.

Hi,

I just applied for my First passport online. It was a straight forward process, I uploaded picture, I used my friend as a reference. He took almost two days to find his passport to fill my online reference. I have finally posted required documents.

My question,

is there going to be any Interview call from Passport office? What is standard procedure for first applicants with Certificate of Nationalizations?

i know that standard time for passport could be around 6 weeks
