Here’s detail :
Passport application submitted outside uk of a child
HMPO asked further documents which was sent
Now received invitation to attend the interview

Should I attend interview or no ?

You have to attend the interview otherwise the application will be refused. They will ask you personal question to verify your application, eg when was your son born, when does your passport expire, etc Nothing to worry about.
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.

As advised you must attend the interview - this is not to review the application or your background - it's the final check to confirm it's you and your son. Had one myself years ago in the UK - passport received two days later.

We have a link about questions being asked at passport interviews: british-citizenship/passport-interview- ... 64893.html
This is mainly the experience for first adult passport but gives an idea what has been asked in the past.

Clearly the HMPO agent cannot interview the child, so you as the parent is required.
I cannot say what is exactly asked but have a look through the link I provided to see whether any child interviews were reported.
But from memory I (adult) was asked:
- How did you travel to this interview? It was a face to face interview
- Where do you work? What bus do you take to get to work?
- Which phone provider do you use? How many siblings do you have?
- How old are your parents? etc. etc.

The reason these innocent random questions are asked is to establish that you/son are the ones who applied for the passport. The interviewers can judge from the way you respond that you are providing your answer (not make it up as you go). In my case I couldn't answer a couple of questions and I said "don't know", not an issue. This isn't an immigration interview, it's the final opportunity for HMPO to establish/confirm identity. Suggest you try and relax before the interview - I'm sure you/your son would want the passport ASAP.

It's not an exam, it's just to verify your identity. You already applied, so what do you have to lose if you attend and try to answer the questions at the best of your ability?
You can report back on what questions you were asked and surely this will help other members in a similar situation as you.

Hi
As I said before about the child British passport interview so it was done . The interviewer asked me first basic things like
When I come to uk where I live last address , last employer , about my self employment when I registered , when I get ilr and citizenship ,
My car insurance company , my car registration , my first bank account , then about marriage and child birth related questions .
I called to hmpo few days back and they said it’s approved and already handed over for delivery so hopefully we will recieve it in 3-4 weeks time as overseas delivery takes time what she said to me .

Also I am about to apply spouse visa for wife I will wait till 4th feb for the passport otherwise I will apply for spouse visa and will mentioned my child nationality of my home country .

That’s where I been stuck :
Annual audited accounts for the last financial year
If not required to produce annual audited accounts, unaudited accounts for the last full financial year and an accountant's certificate of confirmation, from an accountant who is a member of a UK Recognised Supervisory Body (as defined in the Companies Act 2006) or is a member of the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA)
What is unaudited account is it self assememt tax return as I am cab driver for bolt and all payment comes into my account from bolt

In self employment section should I mentind my details or Uber details :
What is the name of the self-employed business or company?

Business or company telephone number

Business or company email address

Business or company address
Please advice sorry for repeating the same thing
Thanks

Please ask your spouse visa questions in your existing topic. These questions are not relevant to a British passport topic in the British Citizenship sub forum.
