I have applied on 28th Jul 2021 in VFS Hyderabad received a mail for extra documents on 15 Oct 2021, we have submitted them on 22 Oct 2021, Interview was done on 1 Dec 2021, We are still waiting for passports to date 1st FEB 2022. It is really frustrating. Can I please know how you enquired about the passport application status and did you call them or did you send an e-mail?

I have emailed Liverpool@hmpo.gov.uk requesting for the status of the application. Give them a couple of weeks to respond to your email, If not email again. Its the best we could do.
Your husband may be right on that last line though

After a call to Liverpool office on first week, followed by an email next that obviously didnt/wont receive any response, third week ended up contacting them on twitter posting the reference as email. Luckily got a response in 2 days that my daughters application is approved and waiting for printing. Yaaaayyyyyyy.

I am British Citizen my children were born in India, my wife Indian Citizen.
We have initially applied for Indian passports for both children and then applied for British Passports.

Applied from VFS Hyd

Applied on 27-07-2021
Again they asked for more documents on 13-10-2021
Attended the interview on 01-12-2021
Got passports on 21-02-2022.

Just make sure it will take 6 to 7 months.

i applied for my child passport from pakistan on 07/06/2021
interview done on 12 august 2021
on 17/01/2022 got an email to send fresh photographs as the pasport is ready to be issued.
photos delievered on 04/02/2022.
after that no sign been emailing but no reply.
does anyone know after sending fresh photos how long printing passport takes.

Approval received: 21/02/2022 - Got a reply from Home office on twitter that its approved and waiting to be printed.
Application approved: 4th March - Email asking to collect from Bengaluru VFS.

A good news after a long time. It took exactly 5 months from 4th October to 4th March for this while process.

hello
i have applied for my son passport from pakistan in nov 21. i gave the interview on feb2022. but they never contacted my referee and didnt received any update regarding the application. can someone tell me if they contact the referee after the interview or before and how long after the interview they issue the passport.

Also did you tried sending counter sign party as NON british, as I have british friends but they can't come to Pakistan to sign the photograph, is it necessary to make them sign photograph ? application form they can scan and sign but not sure about photograph...
