Few questions about application!

Post by ilovethebeatles » Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:40 pm

Hi all,

I am applying for BC next month and after studying the guidance, I have few questions hope you can help clear. I am on 5 year route (Tier 2 General) + 1 year ILR

1. Employment history: do I have to list volunteer/non paid work such as a trustee for a charity organization or governor at a primary school?
2. I assume I don't have to list employments before entering to work in the UK?
3. Documents needed: Passports, BRP (ILR), LIUK, UK Degree - is it all?
4. Reference: Is a school governor (at the primary school where 2 of my children currently attend and my oldest child attended) good to be a referee for my children?
5. Same as 4, but my oldest child is now at secondary school while the referee is at primary school but their child is also studying with my child at new school (same year but not same class) and we meet from time to time - is this governor still good to act as a referee for my oldest child? We have known each other for more than 5 years as the governor's children are same age and studying same school with my children.

Thank you very much!

Hi Aman,

Thank you for reply. Regarding 1, I came to the UK 6 years ago, do you mean I have to list also employments before my entry to the UK?

Regarding 3, if the governor is not suitable, how do you think using my work colleagues? They know my children very well but from reading the guidance it seems it requires someone professional relating to my children' activities. If it is in that sense then the only way is to ask their teachers and I am not sure if they are willing.

Regard.

1. Only concerned with paid work within Uk. For example if you’ve been here 8 years then 8yrs history
2.Teacher will do or nurse.

Hi Aman,

Thank you for your reply. I am intending to ask a teacher at my children' primary school who knows well about my children to help. Is the teacher at former primary school suitable for my oldest child if my child is now at Year 8 secondary school? I am just thinking using one person for all children for not having to ask one more person to help.

Best regards.

Hi Aman,

Thank you for your answer. Another question that has been asked but I am not really sure: “Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad”?

I came to the UK on student visas and then left the country for 7 years and came back 6 years ago on Tier 2. Does the question ask to include also student visas or just the most recent 6 years (qualifying period)?

Regards.

The questions asks for ANY applications and you need to post all of them. It is not asking about only the qualifying period, but all applications.

Thank you CR001. Might be a silly question but just arisen in my mind: does it include also visitor visas (6 month each) I made during my 7 year gap?

I meant the visas were for 6 months but I actually visited only few days each time.

No. Tourist visas aren’t immigration applications.

Hello,

I have not started the online application yet but looking at the paper version under "Details of your employment" section, can anyone let me know if the question on Tax reference number is for me (the applicant) or for my employer?

Regards.

If you are currently employed it's the PAYE reference number which should be on your payslip and/or P60. Only the current reference number is required.

Thank you alterhase58! I have checked my payslip and my P60 then I find that while the "Tax code" on payslip is consistent, the "final tax code" on P60 is different from that and also different for different years. Which one should I look for pls?

it is NOT the tax code. It is the Employer Tax Office Reference number.

I also see that on the P60, there is "Employer PAYE reference" which is consistent over years but does not exist on payslip. On payslip, there is "Employee Number" which is consistent in all payslip.

Hello,

I have a question about when the referee form can be printed out. Can it be printed out for signature before the application be submitted and paid? My concern is one of my referees has a travel plan after the day I am eligible.

Many thanks!

It’ll be fine. My referees also dated/signed before I was eligible.
If they hadn’t sent me the forms back I would not have used them as my referees..
imagine if I submitted the application with their details and they vanished or delayed sending the forms back..

Thank you aman90 for the reply- it is very clear.

Another question that I am confused a bit is about the first day entering the UK. I came to the UK first time nearly 20 years ago on student visa but then left the country for few years and came back 6 years ago on Tier 2 G. On ILR application, I entered the date 6 years ago. And I intend to enter this date again for this application - but just want to ask for sure.

Thank you!

It’s not a very important question that an incorrect answer would jeopardise ur application.
Ur recent entry 6 years shall suffice.
Similarly I’ve been living here off and on since I was a child. I simply stated my date of entry when I seriously considered relocating permanently to the UK

Thank you aman90 for previous reply. Now I am having some issues with registration for a child:

- I don't see any question asking for the child's passport details - but it does say should provide a passport if the child has in the checklist.; there is also no section asking for trips outside the UK -> is this the same for everyone? (Just wonder if I get the right form).

- The checklist suggests to send as many documents as possible (e.g. parents marriage certificate, child's birth certificate, parental consent etc.) -> in summary what should be the essential documents to be sent for a child's registration? Is it ok if I just send the child's birth certificate showing us as parents but not the parents marriage certificate (because I don't have a translation version ready)?

Thank you!

Hello,

I submitted and took biometric more than a week ago but unfortunately today I received a FPN from the Council for lettering. The FPN says it offers the opportunity to discharge any liability to conviction if paid (£75) in time (which I will pay soon). I also talked with the officer and he said I don't have to declare it unless it goes to court (if I don't pay) because they will not share information with anyone except on their computer. My worry is do I need to tell HO about this FPN now by sending them a letter by post? Have you seen this situation before?

Thank you!

Do you mean Littering? How does one manage to get caught littering?
Can you challenge it?

No need. You’ve received it after you sent the application. It’s not a change of address or gender that you must inform HO.
