Questions about waiting time

Post by iceman809 » Wed Jun 23, 2021 6:52 am

I have a question. Does the 6-month waiting time mentioned by HOME start from the date of application for Date of debit of fees or the date of biometric registration? And when will it end? :?: :?: :?:

Starts from date of submission/payment, not date of biometrics appointment.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Thank you for your reply. The 6-month end date mentioned by HO is the deadline for receiving the Approval letter? :D

It isn't a deadline of any sort, the Home Office just says most applications are normally processed within 6 months. Depending on individual circumstances this can take longer and we also know many applications have taken longer because of COVID. You can enquire about progress once your 6 months have passed but the Home Office rarely ever replies to people enquiring about progress on their applications. One way or the other once a decision is made you will be contacted, by email or post. If the Home Office needs further info or documents from you before they can make a decision they will also contact you. An application cannot be treated as abandoned as there are no statutory provisions for this, it must be either granted or refused. Unfortunately though, you can't speed the process up.
