Reference to or mention of previous UK passport in a renewed or replacement passport

Is there any mention of the previous old / expired UK passport (e.g. - passport number or reference file number or something similar) in a new UK passport upon renewal of expired passport or replacement of stolen passport?

What I am asking is whether the new British passport (issued against renewal or repalcement) will have any mention of my last (expired or stolen) British passport. Not enquiring about documents to be submitted for a British passport renewal application.
