You appear to have a difficulty understanding my post, I never advised anyone to apply as stateless as the OP is not stateless.

Take a deep breath, read my post few times then I believe you will begin to appreciate that I was not advising anyone to apply as stateless.
It will be foolish for me to advise a US citizen with ILR to apply as a stateless person.

A passport does not equal citizenship. It is strictly an identity document. For several countries (including the UK), it is possible to hold a passport of that country and not be a citizen. The UK can and does issue visas to people without passports.

Further, a visa is not associated with a passport, it is associated with an individual. The OP could have applied for, and perhaps received, visas without having a passport. Unfortunately, due to (rather common) confusion on the difference between a passport and citizenship, the OP might not have ever realized this.

There is no 'appeal right' for refused citizenship applications. You only have the option of a reconsideration request, which can take many months and costs £372 and you will likely be refused for the same reason.

Thank you ... But is there a time limit .. or not. I feel that I have a good reason to have it reconsidered ..
