Now am so nervous not sure wot to expect as my application was not so straight forward. I had to declare a CCJ I had last year but was unaware of when I applied for ILR. SO not sure if my application might be rejected. Just so stressed

Wife's BC application made in September - Decision awaited

Post by mevinsh » Fri Nov 15, 2013 3:13 pm

Hi
Has anyone applied through NCS service in Rutherglen / Scotland in September and have their decision still pending.

My wife's application was sent in September and they have acknolwedged but havent heard any response since then. I see that many other applied after her have received their approvals. Should we be concerned? Waht is the best way to contact UKBA. I tried to email them but couple of days later the email service provider returned saying the email was not sent - apparently some issue with the mailbox - not sure if the email provided to us by NCS is correct

To be honest I do not know whether we should be concerned at this point.
My application was received on 11 Sep 2013 and I am still waiting for a decision.

By the way, the e-mail address is: NationalityProgress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Please inform us on your progress as there are now only a handful of applicants awaiting on this forum.

Regards,

Mehmet

Yes, it happens to everyone who applies for naturalisation. The letter always gets "on the way" before it arrives.

You can apply straightaway. Your solicitor has no knowledge about naturalization requirements.

If you are the spouse or civil partner of a British citizen secretmsg there is no need to wait 12 months after ILR so far as you meet the other requirements as per section 6(2).

Found recent posts from this poster in the Passport application timeline topic, so assuming that Date of approval for naturalisation must have been some time in November.
