Any body have any idea why still take them
2 weeks to complete the BC application.

Please keep us update.
Sometimes, it depends on the case worker combine with the fact that when they perform some checks it requires that they wait for reply...or could be correspondences via mailing letters through post...these stuffs will definitely have effect on the time line for reaching decision...that was why they gave 6 months for the deadline in reaching a decision.

But I can assure you that once you are sure that you have got all your documented evidences right...there is no cause for concern at all...it happens to me and they took almost three weeks reaching a decision after I was told that since 17 Dec 2010 it was already with a case worker and decision was not reached until 7th of Jan 2011....so you just need to exercise some high level of patience here.

Also, all these depends on individual application(s)...I discovered that if you applied via NCS and you did not include most of the documented evidences such as payslips, P60 and so on, which would require the case worker to perform some checks...then these may also contribute to the waiting time which was in my case...also, if your working history is also a mixture of self employed/director of limited liability company and employment with another employer(s)...it may also contribute to checks being carried out...if you had PCN, CCJ, bankruptcy etc, all these begs for case workers carrying out checks on your application...so not too worry as long as your application is straight forward enough..will soon get a result.

I wish you all the best of luck :D

Deshk,

Probably they did a decision to your application and they thought for some reason that the special delivery was not alright (ie: not paid enough for the weight), I don't know. Then they sent back to you so you can reuse it.

Well, it would be better if you would receive back with your other documents inside and the approval letter!

Always when I applied and provided a return envelope they never used it!

When you call just press number 2 and then 3....you may have to do this for multiple times before the phone will ask you to wait on the queue, once you have somebody answered you at the other end...just tell the HO person that you want an update about your application...and you will be asked to give your reference number, then you name and date of birth...HO will then give the update recorded against your application as stored in the system.

Good luck!

Post by daudali » Tue Feb 01, 2011 11:56 am

I have been told by UKBA that my application decision was made on 26 January 2011 and I have not yet receive any letter yet ? Shouldn't 2nd class stamp take just 2,3 working days to get delivered ?

Can someone please shed some light on it please

Did the officer tell you when the decision was made? That will give an idea of how long you can expect to get the letter...in any case, you should allow up to 10 working days.

What is the basis of ur application? Residency or marriage?

When you get ILR & complete one year and all other requirements like time duration in the UK & have clean residency record is that sufficient for the case worker to approve your application or what else they check when every other matter is checked once during the ILR?
Please advise,thanks :)

I have no Idea how case worker or UKBA deal with the application really
its up to they mood. some application get approved in 2 weeks
and some in 2 month
and some in 6 month,
so really we dont know how the case worker do thier work,
so some case worker are very lazy and take there time to completed a case and some are very good with they job and completed case very fast,
so All what I have think of is the case worker look at the application after the CRB been done for them then looking and see if he need more information to make a decision then do it that way ,
make a decision
or write to the applicant to ask for further information,
or refuses base on the information UKBA have ,

Thanks Hassain!!!you know why i asked this, some of my friends tell me that they do the CRB this is the only thing which is most important, while they check economic activity while approving the ILR,once it is done in the last year they do not check that again, what say, thanks again for your feedback

its look like the CRB check its done in few days at the moment and then the case transfer to the caseworker team to make a decision and when this completed then letter can be send out to the applicant
if the CRB come and its look like theres some more information needed then the case worker can ask the applicant for more information
and dealy the application as pending further information,
so I hope we all will have it soon ,
will keep you update..

One more question, when one single person applies,it takes less time for the case worker to decide than when a family of say four apply?

fatcat,
Did you not receive a letter inviting for the ceremony? How did you do? Just called the council? Thanks.
