My wife's application was sent by post on 29/03/2011 and reached HO on 30/03/2011. Credit card was debited on 06/04/2011. First the available money to spend on the credit card will get reduced by the amount taken by the HO before you directly see the amount taken away from the credit card. On 06/04/2011, we noticed the available amount to be spent got reduced by £780. On 08/04/2011 only it was directly mentioned that £780 was paid to the HO, dated 06/04/2011. So check the available amount in your credit card to be spent.

Hi,

I applied on 01/04 via NCS and the application reached on 04/04. My account has not been debited until this moment. Guess our applications will be processed during the same period- do keep posting updates.

london2009uk wrote:Hi Anivip,

I was also in same dilemma as you about CCJ and Bad Credit although i have subscribed for experian which clearly said no CCJ or bad credit in my history.

I was tempted to check Trustonline by paying (£16) which i did and got confirmation that they have "no record"

Its my suggestion dont waste your money with trustonline as long your experian credit shows clear then it should be fine. I assume you dont have any doggy past.

Good luck with your naturalization application and i can understand your anxiety becoz i went through the same process in march 2011.
Thank you London2009UK for your reply.
I do not have a dodgy past and everything looks okay on Experian so guess I should just sit tight and wait for the outcome.
Thanks once again :)

I hope this may be different for those applying from different areas. I don't know whether this may have any effect on how long it takes to process the application depending on the amount of application from different areas.
I live in West Midlands, the Ack letter that I received mentions North West as well

I’ve also applied on the 1st of April and not sure when it has reached HO. Card is still not debited.
Change of fees shouldn’t affect you as they will charge as per the “checkâ€

C'mon Allta September  dont scare me my family is anxiously waiting for my naturalisation so that i can take them to disney land in this summer holidays, it sucks when your whole family is British and you are the only one who has to buy all the euro tickets, booking confirmations etc and even than still no guarantee of schengen visa lol. Anyways lets hope for the best .

IF any one hears from HO do not delay to post your experince , you might boast people morals :)

Last week, on 6/04, NCS told me that 'HO' had let them know that in March the number of applications had doubled as compared to the number in February.Perhaps everyone was trying to beat the fee increase. Hence I was advised to expect 'doubling of processing times' as well.
Previously average processing time varied from 4 to 8 wks, hence it will increase to 8-16 wks.
Best wishes

KAMALIN10

If its already been more than a week since they received your application and have not taken the money out, that clearly shows that there must be mountains of applications before yours, give them another week and than call.

The lady told me today that they have currently doubled the normal processing time. I am not going to call them for at least 2 weeks now.

I was only kidding :D although it is true that I’d like to see money leaving my account and whatever happens after that – not a problem

finally fee is taken

Post by lovelion2011 » Thu Apr 14, 2011 12:01 pm

Finally fee has been taken from credit card. But they have only withdrawn £1010 instead of £1510. For me and wife £1010 and for my daughter £500... together £1510.

Hmmmmm............... :?: .................... lets wait for the acknowledgement letter to come through then i will contact them.
