TIMELINE AFTER NATURALISATION APPLICATION SUBMISSION

Thanks for the Info. I already applied for the appointment, which is one month before my proposed travel date. Since, I am a family member of EEA National I don't need all accomodation, flight booking etc... so that's one problem out the window....

Anyhow - I think I am just going to apply for British passport after July unless I hear something from HO within next 2/3 weeks because then I will have 5/6 weeks to book ceremony and apply for British passport! -

Dreams rarely come true though so...

Any ways VSAndroid as far as I know you have 90 days to attend the ceremony after your approval letter. don't forget IPS clearly states that the passport processing time ( first adult passport ) can take longer in busy period i.e holidays, summer etc. So i think you should apply EU visa on your Indian passport

Rang yesterday and was told application still waiting to be picked up by a case worker . They received my application on the 1st of April 2011

So after 7 wks of silence, my original intention was to wait 8 wks and then call if i haven't heard anything back from them But I broke! I called UKBA today.... lol

So I called I was very polite and I suggested a change of address initially hoping they would say: "we cant change addresses at this stage", I would know that a decision is on its way to me. But that was a Fail... so i had to change my address... (gave 'em my cousins address just a couple miles away from me).

So I had to ask out right... lol... I was like would appreciate any kind of update if its available for me and she said, that my Application was moved to the final stage 2 days ago and I should expect to hear back in 2-3 wks! was really pleased about that. That definitely a clearer reply that i have heard here. They usually just say assigned or not assigned a case worker yet. So I guess I should Just be patient another 3wks and hope its good news...

This is a good news then right? If it is waiting to be picked up by the case worker then it has come back from all the checks and now it's up to caseworker to approve you?

I think we should hear back from HO at the same time - My application was received by HO couple of days before yours.

I think almost everyone from this forum who applied in February have had their approval. I think its only Gul and Londongirl who applied in Feb and still haven't got a decision, they should be getting it soon.

Hope decisions for people who applied in March will start coming in soon.
