Can anybody help me with advice please?

I applied for my naturalisation about two weeks ago. Paid by Cheque.

How long does it take for HO to process cheques? Has anybody here paid by Cheque? Please help, i am getting very anxious, as no money still has been debitted.....

Don't worry HO will take money ... it some time takes 4 week coz they all go in bundle.

yes i did paid by cheque and it took over two weeks for my account to be debited so do not worry about it

Common 4 weeks is too long...

I can see here some people who applied the same time as me, (i applied on 12th May) their payment has been taken after couple days of the receipt of the application.

And my application was received by HO on 13th May, and still no payment has been taken from my account, I paid by Cheque....

Since i applied i have been checking my bank account 4 or 5 times a day...

...and still no money taken....

Has anybody here paid by cheque?

Applied via NCS on 14th March

Got letter today dated 24th May

They never used my Special delivery letter and send it back to me.

I rang my local council just now and gave them my reference number, the lady said that they don't have me in system yet may be because they didn't upload latest certificates received from HO on their computers. She advised me to contact them on Tuesday. My Council is good in terms of ceremonies. they do 4 a week so I am sure I don't have to pay extra for a private one.

I will be here regularly not going to disappear as I got my approval. You all are my mates. Speak soon

Just calm down... and no need to say "common" .. people who are helping you ... you are getting all the advice free here... even you are not paying to access this portal.. people are sharing the experience here.


If everything is fine from your side than you will get your approval with in 10 to 12 week (80% cases).

So don't waste your time to check the A/c 4 to 5 time in a day and enjoy the long weekend.

We are still waiting fromm 25th feb, is there anybody else waiting since feb?.

We called on 18th may, answer was still in consideration, waiting allocation.

I’m still waiting. I think my decision will take some time, as I applied for the whole family (2 adults + 2 children), hence there will be more checks. No phone call to HO until now.

Have been checking my bank account almost every two hours to see whether HO debitted the cheque...

Finally only today they debitted the money...

..Very relieved...

Thanks ferrarilondon, after seeing the posts here yesterday, I felt tempted and did give them a ring a few minutes back as I had to ask about change of employer address etc... Never asked for an update, but the person on the phone said all these now won't be needed as your application is now complete. Hearing these words my heartbeat stopped and I asked the outcome.

The person said I am not authorised to disclose the information but you will receive a letter in next 10 days. I just hope guys it's good news
