British by decent status

Post by jambo101 » Wed Nov 16, 2011 3:02 pm

I was born in England and immigrated with parents to Canada when i was 11.
Now 50 years later my Canadian daughter wants to go spend a year or more over in England next summer, we have been told that she qualifies for a British passport by decent, the application for the passport is being processed.
As we dont expect any complications we are wondering what she has to do to qualify to work over in England, is there a work card she needs to apply for?and can she apply for it before she leaves for England?
Thanks for any info
Jim

All she needs to do is apply for a national insurance number.
