British Naturalisation error please help

Hi guys. I'm so anxious right now please help. I've finally submitted and paid for naturalisation tonight. I double triple checked my application before I hit the pay button but to my horror when I checked it again just now... I saw that I have made a grave error on the dates that I was out of the UK. My total absences went into a total of 540 days instead of 310 within the 5 years. It's my mistake because I've been so meticulous about the dates that I've actually put in my travels before Nov 2015! That's why the number of days were more than the allowed 450. I've already booked my biometrics this Nov 30.

Is there any way I can still correct this mistake? I'm really anxious right now because 1350gbp is a lot of money if my application got rejected.

Add a cover letter and explain the error. List all absences during the qualifying period only in the same format as asked in the online form. Upload with all your documents before self-submission or appointment. Do not worry, you will be okay.

Thank you so much for your swift reply. I was just concerned that the case worker would chuck out my application out as soon as he/she sees the glaring excess of absences from the UK. I'm planning on giving them a call tomorrow but do you reckon they'll just say the same thing? Anyway thank you again for replying. My nerves have calmed down a bit. Man, I didn't think they'd have an automatic calculator in the forms.

They can not help you on the phone. When you call HO, it is outsourced to a third party call centre who know nothing about online forms. You will only waste your time and energy calling them.

The case worker knows the rules. He should/would only calculate absences during the qualifying period. They do their own checks.

Although, the automatic calculator will tell a different story but CW should spot it pretty easily. Plus the cover letter should clarify it.
