Brother came from Abroad to Heathrow -stopped for 30 mins

Post by hammad1224 » Tue Nov 26, 2013 10:15 pm

Just want to share my brother experience. He came back after a month of holiday from Pakistan and was stopped at Heathrow for 30 mins.

My brother said UKBA staff wasted his time by asking silly questions.

When you completed your Chartered exams, what is taxation, your clients, website etc. When my brother explained what was tax and he was asking questions which were fundamentally wrong i.e. being a Chartered accountant if i ask a question from a scientist about the chemical fusion and upon answering I try to ask some more other questions about science to which I do not have a clue and which doesn't make any sense in science. You can imagine what would be his reaction.

Anyways, after 30 mins and asking his superiors he apologized and let him go.

@ hammad1224, what's the status of your brother?

@ hammad1224, the question about clients and website is normal as they can ask anything about the business, but the question about what is taxation is very silly and very insulting and your brother should have complain when asked such question.

I been to back home for 3 weeks, at airport they asked me
why did i go on holidays, for how long, what i do here and where i am based.
Then she stamped my passport. Also she never scanned my fingerprints( do not know why?).

I Got My time waster for 20 minutes

Post by aron1234 » Sat Nov 30, 2013 6:50 pm

I got stopped in heathrow for around 25 minutes, it was like he ask me to sit there. After 25 minutes he came back and said it's ok and even didn't have the manner to say atleast a sorry

What the hell, I feel like even if you got the visa by satisfying everything you have to go through the individual inspections of ukba agents whenever they see you. Isn't we called harassement and torture ?

Being required to wait while the immigration officer does back office checks = torture? Get a grip.
