BRP card Expire

Hi All,
My son (8 years old) have received his ILR BRP card on 2015 and expired in 2020.
i'm trying to renew his BRP card but i can see only adult BRP renewal in Home office site. Please can anyone suggest me how to renewal child BRP card.
We have not renewed it almost a year after expiry due to COVID and we had not any plans to go out side the UK last one year, is any problem with renew after one year.
