BRP MRZ not scanning for eVisa

The last name on my BRP is a hyphen ("-") because my passport has a blank surname field. Now, when I try to scan the machine-readable zone of the BRP, it doesn't work. I'm unsure how to resolve this issue, as I have tried all the solutions suggested by the web chat support staff. I am planning to travel to Turkey and return on the 31st of December 2024, which is when my BRP expires (not the visa). Will this cause any issues?
