CALL FOR MODERATORS..........(Suggestion to re-organize)

Post by gunjans » Mon Dec 06, 2004 6:25 am

My only concern for this new Post is to help everybody around the globe who is using this Forum can benefit him or her in an easier way. So would like everyone to join and share your ideas.

I have noticed that there are more than 1200 topics in the Forum and it is nearly impossible for a new member to go through them all and gather relevant information.

I rather want to suggest that if MODERATORS can spend some more time on this Forum and can make STICKIES, which are very common and important by extracting the info and re-posting them all in one consolidated Post at common (sticky) place.

In my opinion STICKIES can be made for topics like: -

1. Related to filling Forms (HSMP, FLR (IED), VAF1, WHM, WP, ILR) etc.
2. Sending documents, address, calling, faxing HO office.
3. During assessment waiting period
4. Re-apply, review cases.
5. What to do when rejected
6. HSMP related queries for spouse

Also, things that are
· Obsolete/
· Not required/
· Very very old and not useful/
· Posts that are not answered at all or only once, etc…

Can be removed from the FORUM after extracting important notes from these and making them sticky under topics like: -

1. Got approval,
2. Got EC,
3. Got Job,
4. Related to HO website updating

I know this is a hell lot of job but it will be a great great help to all members and may be we can all contribute to this as per moderator’s decision.

I may sound bit difficult but might be true to some extend, so would like each and every member of this forum to contribute to the idea mentioned.

No Offences at all,
Warm regards,
Gunjan.

Many thanx for your suggestion - however, I doubt that we will be bale to do it. Moderation is on a Voluntary basis and done in 'our' spare time.

We are in the process of 'recruiting' more moderators who can carry on the work we started. Watch this space :wink:

gunjans,

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. As you and my fellow moderator Chess have stated moderating involves definitive levels of commitment at the best of times let alone when trying to revamp the board. The board and I would certainly welcome your help in implementing your suggestions - how about you drop myself, Chess or the Administrator a pm detailing what you could do on this. Many thanks.

Refused on Graduate level experience

Post by Junior0300 » Sat Mar 26, 2005 10:56 am

I applied for the HSMP incountry application and got rejected on the work experience letter. my previous letter was something like this

============================================
This is to certify that mr xxx has been in our full time employment as Analyst / Developer, starting from xxx till xxx. He has been withdrawing a salary of Rs. ***** per month plus benefits.

The responsibilities he has been carrying out were to gather market information, analyze interpret and determine implications for business decisions and finally to develop business and financial solutions in line with the business needs. Some of the tools and technologies used were Visual Basic, Visual C++, SQL Server, UML etc. He possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills along with brilliant programming skills.

This role is normally offered to graduates having a minimum educational standard of a UK first degree level qualification or equivalent. The candidate does not necessarily have to hold a degree but the post normally requires one. In overall service he proved himself as a skillful, devoted and honest worker. His strong communication skills are also a quality. I wish him a very bright future.

Note: All of his work experience (more than 4 years) within the company should be considered as a full time professional work without any training period.

=============================================

HSMP team has refused my application stating

===================================
With reference to paragraph 7.2.1 of the HSMP guidance notes, the evidence provided should demonstrate that the job roles undertaken would normally require a minimum educational standard of a UK first degree level qualification of equivalent. We were not satisfied that sufficient evidence was provided to demonstrate any graduate level experience as described in the published guidance notes of the HSMP arrangements. Consequently we were unable to award points for this category.
===================================

Could anyone let me know whats going on with the HSMP team!!!

My case was refused earlier on the same reason, at that time it was written in my reference letter that i was doing a graduate level job. After getting refused i copied the exact text from their guidance notes but still they are not convinced.
All of my work experience is from my home country Pakistan, the letter is on the company s letter head and signed by the director.

Shall I go for the paid service like workpermit.com
