can I apply for naturalisation in India?

Dear gurus,

My citizenship is due in march 2014. I am planning to relocate in India due to family reason. Before going I would like to get the citizenship. Since my wife if expecting a baby due in march I will have to be wih her. Is there any way I could get naturalisation in India?..

She is Indian, I am holding ILR at present.
Nothing is permanent whatever you have enjoy it :-)

You will need to apply from the UK but you are allowed to travel while your application is under consideration. The UK will not grant citizenship if they suspect your intention once becoming British is to live abroad.
