Can I apply for a new visa?

Post by PBS123 » Mon Nov 21, 2011 12:26 pm

Hi

I was wondering if you could answer a question for me please. I have received an offer for the MSc Software Engineering from the university. I studied MSc IT last September, all the modules were marked and approved by the exam board. Due to personal problems I had to go through mitigation for my dissertation, my supervisor have marked my dissertation now but I have been told that I may have to wait until February for the exam board to approve the dissertation mark.

As I understand my offer for the new course was based on my previous qualification (BSc results) and since it is a specialised subject it complements the MSc IT course required for the academic progress. My question is can I apply for a new visa by showing the higher maintenance fee (£5400) whilst I'm waiting for the dissertation mark to be approved by the exam board? My visa expires at the end of January

Many thanks,
