Can i Apply 2 months Early for my HSMP general Extension

My Visa Run's out in Mid of March 2013.

and luckly i got an appointment 09th January 2013.

Can i able to Apply... All i need just an extension... i m not worry abt 5yrs term...



below i found in the HSMP guideline..



When should I apply?
It is important that you make your application for further leave to remain before your current leave expires. However you should, wherever possible, make your application no more than five weeks in advance of the expiry of your current leave.
