Can assets and pension be a problem for parents immigration

My parents are applying for visitor's visa soon.

They both are pensioners (income through pension) and the house they live in is in my father's name. Will mentioning these facts in their tourist visa applications pose a problem when they apply for immigration as dependents in a few years' time (as and when I have ILR/BC) ??
(wrt the condition that dependents have to be wholly or mainly financially dependent on the sponsor).

Thanks to SYH for his views earlier. Any other feedback from moderators / experienced members ??

If you don't mention this for VV purposes, ur parents have a high risk of being refused, on 'reason to return' grounds.

Of course this will bugger up ur 'financially dependent' hopes for their future immigration. But not mentioning it if specifically asked is fraudulent so ur twixt a rock and a hard place.

Bringing parents over to live is only granted in extremely compassionate cases, your parents sound quite well-off and well housed, so why do you think they should be made an exception?

Being the only child, I would like to get them over to UK to stay with me permanently as and when I am able to. The pension is not anything huge and they are living alone.

I intend to get them over every couple of months on a visitor visa till such time I have ILR/BC and would love to sponsor their immigration application at the first instance !! Emotions

BTW, regarding 'reason to return', can they not show liquid assets (savings, interest income etc.).

It sounds a bit as if you are asking our help to lie - you will have to mention the house / pension etc if you apply for a settlement visa for your parents anyway.

Not asking for any help to lie, but if the alternate option works ??

I am sure people do not go about listing each and every asset they possess in their visa applications, or each and every source of their income !

So I am only enquiring ... from people on this forum .. for their views.

The fact is these type of visas are extremely tough to get, really sort of no alternative or they'll die type situations.

However, folks have been successful so you never know.

On the other side of the coin I remember reading on another forum of someone who got her father over as a dependent and then asked the forum if he can claim state pension cos she didn't realise how expensive it would be having him here....

So you can understand why these visa are not handed out willy-nilly, change of circumstance of the sponsor and it costs Her Majesty, and Her Majesty is in the cost-cutting game...

If applying to come here as your dependants, in the fullness of time, you would have to show under the Immigration Rules that they were wholly or mainly dependant on you financially. So you should surely declare income / property in their home country?
