Can We Claim Together?

Post by AzimScot » Thu Apr 07, 2011 10:26 am

Hi,

I have recently been made ill from work and its a long term illness and I am wondering what my wife can claim? She is on ILR and her hours are being reduced to 15 hours? I am intending to apply for JSA contribution based as I am not activly seeking work I receive SSP pay but not enough to live on can I apply for JSA as a joint claim giving their criteria is working 16 hours or less and me on sickness pay? Can We claim working tax credits in both names?

Thanks.
