Can dependent apply as a main applicant for ILR?

Post by beli03 » Sat Oct 16, 2010 10:42 am

Hi Everyone,
Recently I got Tier 1 visa (04/10/2010) and my visa will expire in October, 2012. I came to London in 2005 as a student and finished my studies in 2008. My husband came here in 2002 as a student. At the moment he is doing MBA from a University. He is on student visa and his current visa will expire in January, 2011. But we are planning to make him my dependant. If he become my dependent then in September, 2012 he will be staying in London for 10 years. So my query is that, at that time will he be able will apply for ILR as a main applicant? Thanks in advance.

If he applies under Long residence, then you may switch to FLR(M).
