Can I leave the UK when my appeal is in progress

Hi All

I will be really grateful if someone could help me out. I had applied for extension of PSW first on 12 March 2009. The application came back as incomplete on 2 April 2009. I returned it along with the same documents to the Home Office. I forgot to attach the bank statement for March 2009. And it got rejected. I have sent an appeal against it to the AIT.

My father has a surger coming up on 18 June 2009. And I would really like to be with him as it is an extremely difficult time for him. Can someone advise me on what can be done in order to leave UK temporarily while appeal is in progress.

No You can not leave UK while appeal is pending! I know it must be very hard time for you, but if you leave UK your appeal would automatically be considered as withdrawn! Wait until you get the visa on your passport.

If you leave UK you will have start the whole process again from your home country!!!!

nope u cant travel unless u got valid visa...

No matter the situation, you cannot leave the UK whilst your appeal is in progress. Unless you wish to abandon your appeal and re-apply from your country. Sorry about your dad and I hope his surgery is successful. All the best.
