Can i make new application while appeal is considered?

Hi
My husband visa was refused due to maintenance of funds, i want to appeal as visa officer looked at one bank statement but not other which got sufficient funds. I have heard that appeal takes lot of time. my question is if i appeal and then after some time can i apply a new application as well for my husband, while my appeal is under consideration. reason is i don't want to lose time so what ever results comes first I will withdraw other.

You cant send in a new application while an appeal is pending for your previous application. You can only do one thing at a time, so either apply or appeal..

if he still has leave left then apply again (to save time which will be lost by going through appeal system).

if he doesnt have any leave left, then im afraid you just have to go through the appeal process OR...

withdraw your appeal, and apply from home country.
