I need some help please in figuring out if I qualify for indefinite leave to remain. Here is the timeline of events.
November 2004 - entered the United Kingdom on a working holiday visa.
September 2006 - switched visas and worked in the United Kingdom on a 'Limited Leave to Remain. No recourse to public funds. Employed by an overseas Government in the UK.' This visa was extended yearly.
September 2009 - for the same visa the wording in the passport changed to 'Limited leave to remain in the UK. No recourse to public funds. Locally engaged staff at a specified diplomatic mission.'
June 2010 - switched to a Tier 1 (General) visa.
When I was employed at the High Commission by an overseas government, it was not as a diplomat. I was locally recruited and paid UK taxes. I have now been in the UK, post working holiday visa, for over 5 years. Do I qualify for indefinite leave to remain?
