Hi!
I’d like to apply for British citizenship. My husband just sent his application. We are both from EU.
We came to UK in September 2013. I went to college for English courses and then started looking for a job in January 2014.
I started casual job (0 hours contract) as a stock taker in Orridge company from 14th January 2014 to March 2014.
Then from 1th April 2014 until January 2016 I worked as a care assistant in care home (full time).
I went on maternity leave from January 2016 till September 2016.
In May 2016 I gave birth to my son.
My contract has ended because of closing care home in August 2016.
Looking after my son I didn’t seek job until he was 3 years old.
I found a job as a community care assistant and started working part time (10h) from January 2020.
I gave up job on 27th of March 2020 due to Covid pandemic ( I was afraid to catch the virus at work).
On 25 January 2019 I’ve been granted ILR.
I’ve been living in UK for 7 years but worked only for about 2 years. I was supported by my husband. I didn’t pay any CSI.
Does it matter when applying for naturalisation? Could it be a reason that I would receive refusal?
Thank you for answering.
