can some one verify please

Post by morocco* » Thu Jan 14, 2010 12:14 am

I have written on my cover letter that i am living rent and bill free and although i am not obliged by my parents i do contribute about 200 pounds.

My parents wrote me a letter saying that they do not have a problem with my fiance coming to live with me on a rent and bill free basis and they will pay the rent and bills for as long as we wish to live there.

my question is do my parents need to also write in their letter that i do contribute to them although its not obliged??

thank you.

do you transfer the money from your bank account directly to their's, or do you do it in cash?

it could be confusing to the ECO if you tell them that you do contribute, but in your parents letter it says that you don't

i would get them to put in their letter that they do not request or require any contribution, but that you do normally give them £200... and then highlight in your bank statements the contributions - that is, if you pay them by standing order or direct transfer

if you give them cash it gets a bit more complicated as the ECO won't be able to verify what you are telling them

i give it to them in cash from my account, i either take the full amount or just give it to them in parts over the month

so is that going to be a problem?
