Can Start Date of Visit Visa be changed?

Can Start Date of Visit Visa be changed?

Hello,
I had applied for a Visitor Visa for my sister to visit my family in UK in early Oct. The plan was for her to visit us in the the 2nd week of Nov for approx 3 weeks.
However due to substantial delays in processing Visa we have just received visa with a start date of 14th Dec until 14th June.
However, it is likely that my sister can now visit ne only in August next year.
Rather than having to go through the visa process again next year, wondering if the one just issued can be requested to move by a couple of months?

It is due to delay of more than 10 weeks in issuing visa that the original plan could not go ahead and this seems like a complete loss of time, money and efforts if we aren't able to change the dates.

Appreciate advice on the same.

Date can not be changed. If visit cannot be made within validity period you will have to make new application.
