I have valid Tier 2 Intra company transfer dependent visa, can I switch to either Tier 1 or Tier 2 visa, from within UK? What all visa categories can I switch to in order to continue my job independently. Please guide.

Unfortunately, no switching from within the UK.

what are the other possible options?
If my employer is ready to sponsor, can in that get switching is possible from within UK?
If not, what options are available from outside UK, and what is the approximate time to get it?

Okay, thanks for the clarification.
One more thing, I am currently employed. Which means that I will have to leave UK with a Certificate of sponsorship from my employer, apply for Tier 2 (General). Is that right?
For Tier 2, you can either have a job in UK or a job offer???
