Can tier 2 dependent visa use on-line application

I am now one student tier 4 visa in UK, and going to switch to tier 2 dependent visa from UK, thanks to the new policy since last year. But I met two problems when I did so, hopefully someone can help me here.

1- Can tier 2 dependent visa (separately application from tier 2 main applicant) use usual on-line application? If yes, where is the on-line form? I was trying to use UKBA on-line application system ("apply online") last week. But I don't know how to find the online form for my case. I could not find the appropriate choices in the first two questions, say "I want to" & "I am applying as". Does people know how to answer such two questions? Someone recommended me to just use tier 2 visa online form (same to tier 2 main applicant) and only choose and fill in the dependent-related questions. Is that right?

2-it seems my husband had to have one new tenancy contract (with both names on) to show he can accommodate me before I apply for this visa, as we live in two cities in UK (but I will move to his city after this application) . Is that necessary? We do not want to rent one unhappy flat in a rush and to waste extra money on a bigger flat for many months. So my husband intend to write a letter within the application to say he will find a new flat to accommodate me, as soon as my dependent visa is granted. Certainly we will show our financial situation is enough for such decision. Is that right to do so?

no need to prove adequate accommodation but you have to comply with the maintenance requirement.

Thanks a lot!! Can I just further clarify the online application steps?
1-I log in my account, then go to "find forms",
2-then there pops up 5 questions: "I want to work in UK", "I am applying as an individual or as a dependent of a family member" and "I am applying from UK",
3-then there goes to normal "TIER 2 MIGRANT ONLINE APPLICATION",
4-then there pops up another many questions, among of which there are some to let you choose Points Based System Dependant, say What are you applying for?-Points Based System Dependant,
5-there goes to more questions on dependent information

am i using the right form and steps ?

you seem to be using the right online process but if you have any doubt you can always use the paper form:

You can also use the paper form to check if you are on the right track with the online process (the questions should be the same)
