Can i work legaly in UK

Hi Guys,
I need yours suggestion on my case please.

i have got the work permit valid till 2012 , but unfortunately im not working with the company who offered me this WP.

i appllied for tier1 pbs hsmp on mid week of march( still waiting for my results)

so i want to know that i can work for any other firm meanwhile or not?

any senior/ members of this forum please advice me.

No, your visa only allows you to work in the job you no longer have.

Your WP is only valid if you are working for the sponsor.
After you stopped working for the sponsor, you have 28 days to leave or get a new EC.
Count your days and read about the gaps, you may not be able to claim continuous employment for ILR purposes.

Hi try-one,
thanx for replying.

i have a question for u that, as i apply for tier1 application within 28 days. but as you said that i have to leave or get EC within 28days. As my passport is with BIA. i cant leave UK. so in this regards what shell i have to do?

i have to wait for my result? or i have to withdraw my application (as it was more then 28days)?

i think i can stay in UK without working any where else and wait for my results.

plz advice me.
