Can I work when visa ends if waiting for Tier 4 extension

Hi,

I've been told that I can work 20 hours a week whilst I am waiting for my Tier 4 Extension, however I need to be sure.

Can anyone confirm and point me in the right direction of a official website which I can show my boss?

You are allowed to work provided if you are not breaking any law (>20 hours) when you application is with home office for extension.
