Process for IT consultant 2171

Hi friends,

Hope this post finds you in good health.
I am from India. But working currently in UK based on deputation. I am an IT consultant and would like to apply for Canada immigration. Request you to provide a brief of the process for applying. I checked the official site was too confusing.

I understood from other sources that below is the process.
1. There is a list of documents related to education and work ex. All these need to be attested by Notary
2. The attested and original document need to be sent to some center in Canada for approval
3. This approval will take months
4. Then need to apply with this centers assessment and IELTS to VFS center with online application form.

I could not get any other information. Request you to elaborate this process and also about the new express system.
