Thee months medical insurance cover

Can someone advise me on how to get the medical insurance cover for the first three month in Canada. I intend to go to Canada soon from UK. Is it required to get this from a company in Canada or it can be taken in UK from a UK company to cover 3 months in Canada . If you know any company. Which compan (UK or Canada) will be cheaper pl advise
