Career advice

Hello everyone,

my wife and I got an HSMP approval and planning to go to UK asap (I'm a dependent). I have been doing research on jobs in UK, and have some questions.

Are there companies which can help in career advice, skills assessment, and etc in UK? I feel like I'm a bit confused about my career in UK, since I doubt I can find some managerial role without UK experience. In my country, I work as IT director, and used to be a CEO in couple of companies. Now I don't think I can work as IT specialist, e.g. programmer, sysadmin, webmaster, etc.

Any advice, comments will be helpful.
